Kingston Bereavement Support Charity Trustees and Service Manager enjoyed meeting Sir Ed Davey MP in December, outlining the specialist bereavement counselling service we provide to adults, children and young people in the Kingston area.
We welcomed the support of our MP in championing our work.
We are pleased to say that our Bereavement Cafe runs on the first Thursday of every month from 1.30 - 3pm at our offices in Kingston. A bereavement cafe is a place where people can feel safe to talk about how their bereavement is affecting them. Come along and have a chat and a cuppa.
There is a £30 charge for assessments for the adult service, and the cost is £5 with proof of benefits. We aim to keep our ten sessions of counselling free of charge. If finance is a barrier to you attending, please do talk to us.
For 35 years we’ve worked in Kingston, helping thousands of bereaved adults, young people and children cope with the death of a loved one.
Now, like many charities, due to significant reductions in funding we are in vital need of funds to ensure the long-term survival of our critical service. Desperate times demand desperate measures - so we have set up a Local Giving appeal with the aim of raising £70,000 to help stabilise the organisation.
If you can donate £35 it will help us continue to support people in our local community when they need us most. And if you have a business in Kingston we’d love to help you support your staff as part of your ESG initiatives.
Thank you from everyone at Kingston Bereavement Support.
