SUPPORT OUR WORK
For 35 years we’ve worked in Kingston, helping thousands of bereaved adults, young people and children cope with the death of a loved one.
Now, like many charities, due to significant reductions in funding we are in vital need of funds to ensure the long-term survival of our critical service. Desperate times demand desperate measures - so we have set up a Local Giving appeal with the aim of raising £70,000 to help stabilise the organisation.
If you can donate £35 it will help us continue to support people in our local community when they need us most. And if you have a business in Kingston we’d love to help you support your staff as part of your ESG initiatives.
Thank you from everyone at Kingston Bereavement Support (formerly Kingston Bereavement Service). You can donate here
Volunteer
Volunteers play a crucial role in our work as counsellors, clinical supervisors, fundraisers, trustees or helping us in the office. There are over 30 volunteers working with us at any one time and we are extremely grateful for their commitment.
We offer our volunteers opportunities for continual professional development through our programme of in-house training days, as well as regular supervision and involvement in new developments. Please contact us if you are interested in finding out more about current volunteer opportunities.
Leave a gift in your will
After you've taken care of the people closest to you, a small percentage of any remaining funds could make a huge difference to our work. Legacy donations provide vital funding to help us continue providing our services well into the future.
All legacies to charities are tax free. If you make a gift to us in your will, the value will be deducted from your estate before inheritance tax is calculated, which means you can support our work and reduce any potential tax liability at the same time.
We recommend that you consult a solicitor or professional adviser for specialist advice according to your own individual circumstances.
