Job Description

KBS is looking for an efficient, qualified and experienced mental health counselling coordinator, to work alongside

Kingston Bereavement Support (KBS) is the only bereavement service in Kingston upon Thames. We are a

Counselling and Psychotherapy, whose code of ethics we adhere to. We have two services; the Adult Service for eighteen years and upwards and the children and young people’s service, ‘The Saying Goodbye Project’ for four

years and upwards. The key aim of both services is to deliver high quality, specialist bereavement counselling for

the community of Kingston upon Thames, with equal access to all who need it. We welcome and respect people

from all backgrounds and cultures. We have close and long-standing relationships with GPs, local schools,

children's services as well other professional and voluntary sector organisations throughout the borough.

Our ideal candidate for this temporary cover is a BACP registered Counsellor, with strong managerial and administrative skills and experience, confident at handling the working needs of a small team and delivering a professional and compassionate service.

Good record keeping, communications skills and familiarity with confidential client record management systems

are a must.
